Colorado OAUG Board of Directors
Hello, and welcome to the Colorado OAUG website. We hope that you will find this site informative and the ‘go to’ location for all things Oracle; i.e., Oracle news, OAUG events, COAUG networking/training seminars, links to training sites, etc.
As to my background, I have held several management roles within the Accounting/Finance departments at various Fortune 1000 and 500 companies. Most recently my role is Sr Project Manager with Dish Network. My college years were spent at Cal State University-Dominguez Hills – BS in Finance, and continued education in PMP and IIBA courses.
I’ve been associated with several business system applications ranging from mainframe, mini-frame, and relational database systems. I have teamed and managed several system conversions as well as upgrades, both from a staff and consultant perspective.
My introduction to Oracle ERP/EBS applications was version 10.7 in March 1996 upon joining Dish Network. From March 1998 through May 2003 I was a senior consultant with KPMG Consulting/Bearing Point as an Oracle implementation manager. My role was to assist companies with their conversions from 11.0.3 to the reigning version of 11i at the time (11.5.x). Upon re-joining Dish Network in 2003, I joined the team that implemented 11.5.9, in 2009 upgraded to 11.5.10, in 2012 implemented Multi-Org, and in 2014 implemented Oracle 12i.
My motivators are in project and people management. My Oracle experience is in Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and GL to Financial Reporting modules. I have actively attended several OAUG Collaborates since 1997, as Dish Network OAUG Ambassador in 2012, and now Chairman of COAUG since 2014. I submitted a topic on Procure to Pay: ‘Final Close – the Last Frontier’ for which I was a presenter at Collaborate 2015.
My volunteer history started in college with Fraternity boards, progressed into board roles in large ski organizations in California, and then coaching softball, baseball, and football in Colorado as my kids grew up.

I have been working with Oracle EBS for over seven years, starting with 11.03, through a global implementation of 11i, and now on an upgrade to R12 in 2014. I have worked in user support focusing on FA, PA and GL modules (11.03 and 11i). I have worked on Brazil Localizations projects focusing on AP and FA modules (11i). I have been heavily involved with integrating one of our largest acquisitions (Perot Systems) onto our Oracle footprint, focusing on AP and PO modules, and assisting with the robust uses of the PA module for our Services business (11i). In my current role, I work closely with business users to identify requirements in the P2P space (R12). I am the Oracle Purchasing domain lead, and have to interact with external systems that interface into my area. Our company is defining our vision for P2P, which will include more robust usage of the Oracle Procurement suite in the coming months and years. I work remotely from my home in Loveland, Colorado.
I am a very frequent user of MetaLink, and have recently been able to attend my first Collaborate in Denver. I am very interested in playing a bigger role in OAUG, and believe this is the perfect opportunity for me to work with other people in my region that have a passion for Oracle.
